A way that wasn’t always mine, but one that has been reintroduced to me by my beautiful wonder filled three year old. His questions causing pause, and the answers settling deep in his thoughts.

He is the true creator of this collection.

He held my hand as he guided me to see the small wonders.

The textures in the rocks and in tiles, the shapes in the shadows on the walls. All the things I normally walk past with no thought, I now seeing new possibilities and richness in their presence. Translating into new strokes in my work and different ways to push textures with paint. So much thought. So much feeling in each and every brush stroke as they touch the canvas.

This refocus to slow down brings so much richness to our lives. Slow Sundays with family, enjoying the sound of laughter and bright smiles in the sunshine. A very important reminder to connect to those closest to us.
